Steve promised the boys a camping trip when he returned from China. The weather was terrible but the boys eagerly piled in the car and tried a new camp site.
The thunder and lightning was extremely loud, I waited up for them to come back home. I fell asleep around midnight, convinced they would come in the wee hours of the morning. They arrived about noon, worn out and tired but thrilled with their outing. Apparently thunder and lightning doesn't slow them down a bit.

The weather forecast called for more storms this weekend, but they were not deterred. Steve came home from work after lunch on Friday and they returned to their favorite camp site from last fall. It's only about 20 minutes away but near a beautiful lake and they just love it. I just love this picture. I can't believe they are actually hugging and smiling.
I love the crispy marshmallow! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, the hugging and smiling? Camping brought that out in my boys, too. What gives?
